WHO ARE THE CREATIVE NOMADS?
Creative Nomads is a Black-led, woman-led organization that believes in providing access to the arts to all youth and families as well as supporting arts professionals with tools and resources to create their craft.
We also believe art is the universal expression of our souls and is powerful enough to influence the course of our lives. Art, music, and culture are tools used to build the appreciation of one's humanity and the humanity of others. These tools are not a luxury for some, they are a right for all to be enriched by, engaged with, and enjoyed. Creative Nomads is committed to providing access to art for all.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
In over 8 years we have served over 4000 students and 250 parents through:
- African drumming
- Dance
- Yoga
- Visual arts: Family Paint + Community Paint
- Crafts
- Music creation
- Mindfulness workshops
- Cultural workshops
Many schools have budgets stretched thin and art is the first item to be cut when there isn't enough money. With your help, we can partner with more schools to bring an array of art experiences that provide unique ways for youth and families to express themselves, provide fun ways to build community with one another and provide needed trauma relief.
In addition to our work in the schools, we provide experiences like Art In The Park, virtual Kwanzaa Family Paint, and May The Fourth Be With You Star War Family Experience directly to the community. Donations and funding we receive allow us to both provide low to NO COST arts engagements while STILL paying our artists and facilitators fairly. Not only is it important to us to make art accessible to our community, but it is also essential for us to pay those that create art and share their craft good money to support their life and dreams.

ART PROFESSIONALS SUPPORT
Creative Nomads knows that there is no art without the artist! Because of this, we work to provide arts professionals and entrepreneurs with tools and resources to advance their careers in their crafts. Through skill-building workshops, professional and personal development opportunities, and networking spaces, we provide resources that assist creators in being sustained within their craft. Over 250 artists have been touched by Creative Nomads over our 7 years and we look forward to successfully impacting more arts professionals through increased and more robust programming over the next five years.
